
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine refused to consider a bill that allows the presidential and parliamentary elections in emergency or martial law, UNIAN reports. 183 deputies voted for the inclusion of the issue on the agenda with the required minimum of 226 votes.
The document provided for amendments to the laws “On the legal regime of emergency” and “On the legal regime of martial law”.
The author of the bill is deputy Andrei Kozhemyakin that the document was developed to ensure the constitutional rights of citizens to participate in elections in emergency and military provisions, RIA Novosti reports.
In the south-east of Ukraine, there is a special operation of security forces with the involvement of military personnel against supporters of federalization, who seized administrative buildings in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The most powerful confrontation is observed in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk Donetsk region. Also, pro -Russian protesters went to the Donetsk airport.
