The 34-year-old daughter of the ex-president of the United States Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced that she and her husband Mark Mazinsky are expecting a child, reports AP.
The announcement was made at the event of the Clinton couple in New York, dedicated to the protection of women's rights, where Hillary Clinton was also present.
“Mark and I am very happy to report that our firstborn will be born this year,” said Chelsea. “And I am even more glad that this boy or girl will grow in a world in which there are so many strong female leaders.”
“I hope that I will become the same good mother to my child or children, as my mother was for me,” Chelsea added.
The future grandmother also turned to the audience: “We have achieved great progress, and our work has become only more important,” Hillary Clinton said. “I want us to move on for future generations so that our grandson or granddaughter never had to worry about what the young women and men interfere with today.”
She later wrote on her Twitter : "The most exciting position in my life is still the future grandmother! @Billclinton and I am delighted, Chelsea and Mark are waiting for the first -born!"
The former president and future grandfather also noted on the social network: "I will be happy to add a new line to my Twitter biography ... The future grandfather! I and I and I are so happy for Chelsea and Mark!"
The unborn child Chelsea Clinton has a unique chance to be the grandson of two US presidents at once: this year Hillary Clinton must announce his decision to run for the Higher post of the state from the Democrats. At the moment, she confidently overtakes all potential rivals from among the representatives of her party.
