April 14, Monday

The judge of the Zamoskvoretsky court Natalya Susina, who considers the “Swamp Delo-2”, refused to highlight the case of Elena Kokhtareva from the “maternal” case and consider it in a special order. This was petitioned by the accused Kokhtarev. She pleaded guilty, stated that she participated in the riots. During the preliminary hearings, the judge Susin also refused to terminate the criminal case against the three participants in the process - Alexei Gaskarov, Alexander Margolin and Ilya Gushchina.

April 16, Wednesday

The Moscow prosecutor's office closed the case of St. Petersburg artist Pyotr Pavlensky, who in November 2013 nailed his scrotum to the cobblestone on Red Square. This action was called "fixation" and, according to the artist, symbolized "political indifference and fatalism of modern Russian society." The lawyer of Pavlensky Ramil Akhmetgaliev told the media that, having verified the circumstances of the case, the investigation considered that there were no extremist motives in the artist’s actions and there was no corpus delicti.

April 17, Thursday

Former investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Pavel Karpov sent a claim to one of the district courts of Moscow to protect the honor and dignity against William Brauder and Jamison Fayerstone. The police lieutenant colonel are going to prove through the court that it has nothing to do with the death of Sergei Magnitsky. In October last year, Karpov already lost a similar lawsuit in the high court of London.

The English judge found that “in the lawsuit of Karpov there was a share of artificiality and that the trial was initiated with one purpose - to exclude Karpov from the Magnitsky List.

April 18, Friday

The Norilsk city court refused to recover 500 thousand rubles in the claim of the deputy chief of IK-14 for Nadezhda Tolokonnikova. The lawsuit was filed by Yuri Kupriov in connection with the publication of Tolokonnikova’s letter about slave work in female zones, and in particular in IK-14. Kupriyanov demanded to refute the facts of inhuman handling of prisoners-prisoners published by the former convicted. A similar lawsuit was sent to the court and the administration of the colony. But in this lawsuit the Norilsk city court was denied.
