Singer Tati has just released a debut album, but she is far from a beginner in the domestic hip-hop. Her light breathing is well familiar to those who listen to rap in Russian. Tati has been written from the age of 16, and now she is 24. Tati is a combat unit of the Gazagolder Laubla studio. Not a single album of Vasily Vakulenko - from Basta to the Stereo Brothers - does not do without her sonorous voice. Before the Gazagolder, Tati was recorded with the artists of Cao Records , another famous Moscow rap-label. In a word, she made a lot for hip-hop in her years-hundreds of verses with different performers.
The real name of Tati is Murassa, unusual, like her appearance. “This is an Assyrian name. I, like the flesh of the Moscow Region, Assyrian. There are two of us already Assyrians here, ”Murassa smiles a fox smile. An interesting phenomenon: there are two Assyrians in the Gazagoldere, and the rapper girl is only one. In the men's fraternity of Gazagolder, Tati is in a special position - not only the only girl, but also the only Muscovite: “I feel like a princess. There is only one problem: the boys in the tour sometimes do not understand that the girls need to call an hour before leaving the hotel-because they need to prepare, get along, meet, do something with them. Thank God, now another girl travels with us on tour - our DJ. Now it has become easier. ”
For some reason, a terrible deficit of performers and in general female energy is observed in the Russian rap. Tati simply has no one to get to in verbal sparring a la Versus - unless with Kristina Si from the competing label Blackstar . Tati cannot explain why the Russian rap doesn’t have a female face: “When I was 16, there were many girls in hip-hop. Now there is almost no at all. All are some lazy. Or no one believes in himself. This is strange - there are more and more opportunities to do your own, and there are less and less new performers and ideas. ”
I, like the flesh of the Moscow Region, Assyrian. There are two of us already Assyrians.
The main capital and working material for rap artist is usually his biography. Here, Muraza, who was born in Moscow, lived in the States in her youth for four years, and then returned with her parents to the MKAD, there is nothing extraordinary. “There were no shootings in my life. I modestly went with a violin to a music school. There was a lot of street positive. We took guitars and boomboxes-we carried them out into the streets and read something. At the age of 14, they recorded with the guys in the area. As they could - in the micro and an incomprehensible computer. I remember how I celebrated the 17th anniversary of the studio. I realized what was needed in the studio with my ideas and with my music. They began to call me - on Fita and duets. Then they put me before a tough choice - the Gazagolder or Cao. Murassa chose Gazagolder, "Because there is a completely different level of music." “There are really musicians here! There really is music! " - Tati says with admiration.
Tati's debut, recorded by the musical leaders of Gazagolder, Vasily Vakulenko and Vadim Kupae Karpenko, is a demonstration of the entire breadth of the capabilities of the studio and its first persons. Together, they can do a lot-in addition to mental rap, with which many associate Basta, there is an alternative pop-rock in the spirit of the Garbage group and a neat disco house in English, and a potentially folk chanson for Marina Tsvetaeva. A sincere cover version of Mikhey’s ballad “Mom”, dedicated to Murasa’s mother, who loves rap (“She can listen to AK-47 and laugh”) and has always supported her daughter's choice.
According to Tati, the debut was written for a long time and difficult: “In this album I wanted to show everything that I can, what I love and what I do. New songs appeared every year, and I got confused more and more. In the end, we simply chose the date and decided to finish it at all costs. ” In the variegated palette of the Tati's debut album, he highlights the tracks “Rainbow” and “Wheel”: “I would like to call Tsvetaeva - but it’s not me who made a song, but wonderful poems. Yes - and also “girl in black”. This is also me, impudent! "
The first album of Tati turned out to be lyrical-minor, despite the fact that in life everything is the other way around: her type is a combat girl. "Everyone asks the question:" Who offended you? " - Murassa laughs. - And no one offended me. I myself write music and texts for myself, and for some reason it turns out mainly sad. And a lot about love. In the future, I would like more hip-hop bits and smaller heavy guitars. I really like Azilia Banks, Sharaya J and Angel Haze . I would like to do something like that. With an emphasis on dance hip-hop. Because I am on this topic - I am always in motion. I want to give all this on the video and on the stage. ” Murassa freezes for a while and smiles again: “My mother wanted to hear more dance tracks on my album. Mom, don't worry! Soon all this will be. ”
