On April 22, at 14:00, the judge of the Butyrsky District Court of Moscow, Yuri Kovalevsky, will announce the verdict for radical publicist Boris Stomakhin. The prosecutor asked for 10 and a half years of general regime for him. In addition, he demanded that Stomakhin be banned from journalism for eight years, and that the circulation of his samizdat bulletin Radical Politics be destroyed.
The publicist has been in prison since November 20, 2012. His trial has been going on since September 2013. In total, Stomakhin was charged with four charges: under parts 1 of articles 205.2 (justification of terrorism), 280 (calls for extremism) and 282 (inciting hatred or enmity) and under part 1 of article 30, part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code (preparation to publicly justify terrorism using MASS MEDIA). The reason for bringing all the charges was exclusively the articles of the publicist, posted by him in 2011-2012 on his personal blog and on the website of the radical libertarian opposition " Resistance ", as well as in the small-circulation bulletin " Radical Politics ".
In 2006-2011, Stomakhin had already served a five-year sentence under Articles 280 and 282. At that time, he was also convicted solely for his writings. During the arrest, Stomakhin tried to escape from the apartment through the window along the rope, but the rope broke and he received fractures of the leg and processes of two vertebrae. The political prisoner has not yet recovered from the consequences of these injuries.
Meanwhile , a third case was recently initiated on the fact of publication of Stomakhin 's texts on the Web .
