
The State Duma adopted a bill in the final third reading, equating popular bloggers to the media, Interfax reports.
The Internet user, on the site or page on the social networks of which, at least 3,000 visitors per month enter the new law in a special register. Such a blogger can sell advertising and is obliged to verify the reliability of the information posted, fulfill the rules of election campaign, not to disseminate information about the private life of citizens, extremist materials, and indicate age -related restrictions for users.
In addition to changing the status of bloggers, the law obliges six months to store data on the transmission of information on the Internet. These rules do not concern people using Internet sites for personal, home and family purposes.
