Walt Disney takes off its first "star wars" in Abu Dhabi

The seventh episode of the Star Wars movie epic, which is first created by the Walt Disney Corporation, is shot in the capital of the UAE Abu Dhabi, the website of the Emirates newspaper GULF News reports with reference to a representative of the film company.

Rumors that shooting the seventh part of the Star Wars will be held in the Abu Dhabi deserts, appeared in the media earlier, but on Tuesday the film company officially announced this and reported that the secondary scenes of the film were already shot in Abu Dabi.

The main scenes have not yet begun, and the composition of the actors will be published later. In the previous parts of the Star Wars, desert landscapes were shot in Tunisia, RIA Novosti notes.

Kinosaga "Star Wars" was invented in the early 1970s by American director George Lucas.

The director of the new part is Jay Abrams (Jeffrey Jacob Abrams). As previously reported by the chairman of Disney Studios Alan Horn, the release of the seventh series, which has no name, is scheduled for the end of 2015. He said that the action of the new film will unfold 30 years after the events of the sixth series "The Return of the Jedi", shot in 1983. It is known that in the center of the plot there will be characters of the original trilogy - Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Khan Solo, who will be played by the pretty aged Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford.

The seventh episode will be the first film of the franchise after the right to it was bought by Walt Disney, which intends to make the continuation of the saga, as well as two separate films in the Star Wars universe.
