The “Illusion” will host a retrospective of Karel Kakhini

From April 30 to May 8, the Cinema Museum is conducted by the Czech classic, one of the representatives of the Czechoslovak New Wave, the laureate of the prize of the Film Festival in Karlovy Vary, for his contribution to world kinematographer - Karelian Kakhini.

Karel Kahini is a thin lyricist, in whose films nature returns to his mythological role, an impeccable stylist, “embroidering” each frame with light and half -tones, one of those directors who, with amazing belief, manage to open the hidden depths of the child’s inner world on the screen.

His films regularly went to “ornamentalism” from modern criticism, which with approval accepted the psychological saturation of the plot, but questioned the plastic relationships built according to the logic of dreams, dreams.

For his long creative path, Karel Kahini shot more than 50 game and about 15 documentary paintings, becoming one of the most productive directors in the history of Czech cinema.

The retrospective consists of 14 films of the Czech master, covering different periods of his work, and all of them will be shown from the film of 35 mm:

• May 1 at 16:30 - “King of the Schumavay” ( Král Šumavy , 1959);
• May 1 at 18:15 - “The sling (children of the front)” ( Práče , 1960);
• May 2 at 15:00 - “chains” ( Pouta , 1961);
• May 2 at 16:45 - “Care” ( Trápení , 1961);
• May 2 at 18:15 - “Nadezhda” ( Nadíje , 1963);
• May 3 at 16:30 - "Long live the republic!" ( Ať žije republika , 1965);
• May 3 at 19:00 - “Crew to Vienna” ( Kočár da vídně , 1966);
• May 4 at 16:30 - “Christmas with Alzhbeta” ( vánoce s alžbětou , 1968);
• May 4 at 18:15 - “Ear” ( Ucho, 1970);
• May 5 at 19:30 - “Love among the drops of the rain” ( Lásky Mezi Kapkami dešty , 1979);
• May 6 at 19:30 - “Sugar House” ( Cukrová Bouda , 1980);
• May 7 at 19:30 - “The Death of Beautiful Wires” ( SMRT Krásných Srnců , 1986);
• May 8 at 19:30 - “Cow” ( Kráva , 1993);

The retrospective is held by the Museum of Cinema together with the Czech Cultural Center, the National Cinema of the Czech Republic and the Russian State Film Fund
