There are four participants in Compressorhead : StickBoy robot plays on shock tools, the Fingers robot (he has 78 fingers) -on the guitar, the Bones robot is on the bass gitar, the Stickboy robot is the youngest -on plates. They perform compositions of groups such as AC/DC , Led Zeppelin , Black Sabbath , Rage Against the Machine . The video recording of the hit “Ace of Spades” by Motorhead , performed by German robots, collected more than six million views on YouTube .
In 2007, German engineer Frank Barnes designed the Stickboy robot with four hands, two legs and the head of an Indian, driven by a pneumatic system. His movements almost accurately reproduce the movement and behavior of a person behind the shock unit.
A few years later, the remaining three robots were created. The last in the group appeared a bass player of Bones, on the hands of which are 4 fingers, and instead of legs, caterpillar platforms, thanks to which it can move around the stage.
The first performance of the Compressorhead group took place on the same stage with Red Hot Chili Peppers . Since then, the robots traveled the whole world, their tour schedule has been painted almost a year in advance, like real rock stars.
