Avakov: Elections will be held in those cities where it will be possible

The presidential elections scheduled for May 25 will be held in those cities of Ukraine where it will be possible. Such a statement made in an interview with the BBC, the acting The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country Arsen Avakov. “Polling stations have been created throughout the country,” the minister said. “Where you can actually be held, the elections will be held there. Moreover, where we can, we will control the situation.”

At the same time, he expressed confidence that "this will not cancel the elections throughout the country." At the same time, Avakov did not rule out that "the elections can pass and pass quite calmly" even in the east of Ukraine.

On April 25, Okendovsky said that the CEC blocked access to the database of the State Voter Register for six departments of its maintenance in the Donetsk region. The meaning of such a decision, the head of the commission explained, is to prevent illegal access to personal data of voters in areas, which are controlled by Russian saboteurs or risk falling under their control.
