As a result of the explosions of ammunition and a fire followed by them in a military warehouse in Transbaikalia, 11 were killed and 23 people were injured. Among the dead is an officer of the military unit in the village of Bolshaya Tura, where there was a tragedy.

According to RIA Novosti, 11 victims were hospitalized - they recorded burns and injuries, and four people are in serious condition. The rest of the victims did medical care on an outpatient basis and released home.

Recall that previously reported ten dead - during the liquidation of a fire in the military unit, a truck with the bodies of ten people was discovered . Among the dead was the commander of the Center for Material and Technical Support, a contract of a contracting soldier and eight people from among civilian personnel. It is assumed that the officer tried to take out people from the territory of the warehouse in the flame ring, but the car entered the epicenter of one of the explosions.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has already instructed to assist the families of the dead and victims. The operational headquarters created in the fire area will have to collect all the data about their families in a short time in order to further determine the necessary measures to provide assistance.

As a result of the explosions, the warehouse caught fire, and more than 2,000 people were evacuated from the danger zone, including 700 children, residents of the villages of the Big Tura, Kadada and Solontsovo, located close to military warehouses. People are located in the villages of Darasun, Karymskaya, Aginsky and McCaveevo and are provided with hot meals. All of them will be able to return to their homes only after checking for safety.

At the moment, a cordon is set around the settlements, and the movement on the Darasun -Solonsovo highway is stopped so that no one will get into the emergency zone.

In addition, after the fire, traffic along the Trans -Baikal Railway was blocked in both directions in the Chita -Karymskaya section. Passengers of detained trains on buses will be delivered to the Chita-2 station, from where they will continue their journey on a specially formed train. At the moment, the traffic traffic is restored.

The fire in the warehouse was completely eliminated only by the morning of the environment - it was extinguished by four aircraft, 759 people and 191 units of equipment. In total, according to local authorities, 20 explosions were recorded. It is known that more than 250 thousand tons of ammunition were stored in the warehouse, including TNT, anti -tank and anti -personnel mines.

Criminal cases have been instituted on the fact of explosions and fire. As Denis Kurochkin, the prosecutor of the Karymsky district, told Interfax , one criminal case was instituted under Part 2 and 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “causing death by negligence due to improper performance by a person of his professional duties” and “causing death by negligence to two or more persons”. It is under special control, it is engaged in the first department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee in the Trans -Baikal Territory. Another criminal case opened the Karym branch of the Ministry of Emergencies on the fact of a forest fire, which led to an explosion of the warehouse and death of people, the prosecutor noted.

Currently, sappers using special robots are cleaning the territory near the burning warehouses - they destroy ammunition that scattered after the explosions.

Kurochkin noted that the security forces already have developments in the investigation of the causes of emergencies, but so far, in the interests of the consequences, the information has not been disclosed.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the explosions was a forest fire, which came close to the territory of the facility, even despite the 60-meter security strip.

The main peak of the explosions was on Tuesday from 22:00 to 23:00 local time (from 16:00 to 17:00 in Moscow). “They were so power that in my office a hanging ceiling collapsed in my office,” said Kurochkin.

After an emergency in a warehouse in the Trans -Baikal Territory, a special fire regime was introduced, which implies a complete ban on visiting forests. In addition, it is forbidden to breed bonfires, burn garbage in parks, in agricultural land, in the territories of horticultural, gardening and summer cottages, as well as in the territories adjacent to residential buildings and other buildings.

On weekends and holidays, the number of patrol groups will be increased that will monitor compliance with fire safety rules in the region. In total, about 66 thousand hectares of forest are currently burning in Transbaikalia.

On October 22, 2013, at the 714th training ground near Pskov, five cadets of the Ryazan landing school and sergeant of the contract service were killed as a result of the ammunition explosion, two more cadets were injured.

On June 18 last year, during the elimination of combat shells at a training ground near the city of Chapaevsk in the Samara region, explosions began, after which a fire occurred. About 6.5 thousand people were evacuated, dozens of people were injured, one died.

On August 14, 2013, at the Ashuluk military training ground in the Astrakhan region, during the cleaning of the territory, the ammunition detonated, which led to the death of two ordinary people.
