In Egypt, more than a hundred supporters of the Muslim Brothers were sentenced to 10 years in prison for participating in unrest

CARIR Criminal Court sentenced 102 supporters of the Muslim Brothers Association prohibited in Egypt to the long time for imprisonment for violence and participation in the riots.

According to ITAR-TASS, dozens of Islamists received 10 years in prison for organizing and participating in mass clashes in Cairo, which immediately followed the removal of President Muhammad Mursi in July last July. In addition, each of them was obliged to pay a fine of about $ 3,000. Two more activists of the Brothers received seven years of prison along with the obligation to pay the same money fine.

The government, brought to power by the military, has detained thousands of associates of Mursi since July last year.

Last week, the Court of the province of El Migna sentenced almost 700 supporters of Islamists for the death penalty for unrest and attacks on the police in the summer of last year. At the same meeting, death sentences were confirmed by 37 more sentenced to death, almost 500 people received a life sentence. This mass sentence caused a storm of indignation in Egypt and abroad, pushing the Islamists to speak with new threats to the authorities and declare the readiness to organize a new armed revolution in the country.

The Prosecutor General has already announced plans to appeal these sentences of the El Migni court in the country's highest court - the Cassation Court.
