Nationalists, even the most ornate of them, the people as a whole are simple -minded.

Reading the news feed, they painfully respond to messages from the “ours beat” section, this is like a conditional reflex, and their details are not interested. Therefore, the Columnist, carefully choosing expressions, tells about the atrocities of criminal gangs , the junta in Kiev , about the neo -Nazi criminal dictatorship and other unpleasant phenomena with which we must end. Our choice is extremely small - between shame and war , concludes Kholmogorov.

This is a wrong, even politically harmful conclusion.

And this is not about the fact that the shame in Ukraine of the Columnist's navigators in the Kremlin was already grabbed with excess, and the war is only ugly. This shame. That the massacre in Odessa was provoked by armed ignorant people from among the pro -Russian activists, to which there are many witnesses and evidence, including videos. The point is that the nationalist is in a hurry, calling to occupy Ukraine and the stigma is scary to say someone. He climbs into the massacre later.

The goal of Russia, which flooded Ukraine with its folk mayors and self -proclaimed citizens advocating the split of the country, is hardly reduced to an ambulance. This is a possible but extreme option that is considered in one package with Western sanctions and is the subject of blackmail. A more modest plan, now embodied in life, is to sow chaos in the country and disrupt the elections. Sleep the very boat, for the swaying of which in Russia they were tried and judged by the disagreed.

In this sense, the Odessa tragedy for political strategists is an ideal plot. As a picture for an endless television hysteria performed by the best, talented masters of agitprop. As a reason for endless Midov’s statements, which are essentially not much different from the Kholmogor article, but so far do not contain direct military threats. But in them the West beats with his own weapons-humanism, and the next attempt by the Ukrainian authorities to restore at least some order in the southeast of the country is choking, and the militants again recapture Kramatorsk after Slavic, then they capture state institutions in Donetsk, and in Odessa a crowd of indifferent citizens frees the detainees in the case of mass clashes in the city. Falling intelligence, yes, but there is no need to fight yet.

In general, all messages of the last weeks from Ukraine are chronicles of despair and powerlessness in a clash with the enemy strong, cold -blooded, ruthless. For the goals of Moscow and Kyiv are exactly the opposite. The last thing the current Ukrainian government is needed is a civil war. The main thing that they dream there: wake up one morning - and do not hear anything about Slavyansk, nor about Lugansk, nor about Donetsk, or about Mariupol. However, everyday news is monotonous and merciless, and then the real people enter the battlefield, as in the same Odessa, but these local victories turn against Ukraine. Since the murder license is available only to those who destroy the country under the leadership of Russian curators, and if they receive a rebuff, then this is already a “violation of the Geneva Agreements” and “power lawlessness”, as it is customary to formulate in our Smolenskaya.

However, the situation should hardly be recognized as hopeless. The fact is that the West has its own game and sanctions against Russia are tightened as they intensify the riots in Ukraine. The entry of troops will probably turn into total insulation, or even something worse, and this is taken into account in the Kremlin. It can still be said that in a neighboring country there is not a single Russian soldier (that is, regular troops and front -line aircraft were not introduced, translated from Putin to Russian), a certain uncertainty is maintained, and the connections with the West are not finally broken. You can blackmail further, and for quite a long time, ideally, until the fall, when the discussions about gas prices, for example, will get a noticeable dynamics.

The problem, however, is that Russian society, shocked and delighted by the "capture of Crimea," is already almost accustomed to the idea of ​​the upcoming war. The sudden indecision of the Kremlin against the background of "Bender" local victories can cause bewilderment among the people. I have a deep inner belief that Russia will not choose a shame , writes Yegor Kholmogorov, one of our most national preoccupied publicists, and this, of course, is a call for mass killings, but the main trouble is different. If Putin is still not ready for war, then he is trapped. On the one hand, the whole civilized world, with which it is completely scared to quarrel, and on the other, is the voice of a people who is already breaking into a scream and will declare you a national traitor tomorrow. Also a difficult choice, you will not envy.

Actually, these are all small victorious wars, even in appearance almost bloodless: it is easy to start, difficult to end. Enemies continue to resist, and supporters show impatience and discontent. Ukraine can no longer and should not be considered by us as a sovereign state , teaches Putin Kholmogorov, expressing aloud the long-standing cherished thoughts of the guarantor, which he still believed only to his heart friend Bushu, more without much success.
