The emblem of Roskomnadzor

Roskomnadzor began testing the automatic monitoring system of online media, which will ensure the search for obscene vocabulary in articles and comments. This was reported by Izvestia with reference to the press secretary of the department Vadim Ampelonsky.

Roskomnadzor specialists make up the list of keywords that the system will fix. So far, the system can look for only text fragments and images. In the future, the program will also be able to work with audio and video. It is expected that the system will work no later than the IV quarter of the current year. Its creation will cost a budget of 25 million rubles.

Currently, Roskomnadzor experts are watching more than five thousand media outlets.

On April 8, 2013, President Vladimir Putin signed a law on fines for the media for the use of a mat . The same law in part 1 of Article 4 (the inadmissibility of abuse of the freedom of the mass media) of the media law included a clause that allows to recall the license from publications and television and radio programs after two warnings of Roskomnadzor, made throughout the year.

On March 14 of this year, the head of Roskomnadzor, Alexander Zharov, at the parliamentary hearings on the Federation Council, said that the department state a decrease in the use of non -normative vocabulary in the Russian media . "To date, 65 media have received a warning from Roskomnadzor for the use of obscene abuse, and for the year of applying the relevant law, the mat in the media has become much less," Zharov noted.
