Former member of the Russian socialist movement Konstantin Lebedev, the defendant in the case of the Anatomy of Protest - 2, was released from the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Valery Lavrov, a convicted lawyer.

“I think that in the next few months he will not do anything, but only come to his senses after improving,” Lavrov said.

The decision on the parole of Lebedev was made on April 24 by the judge of the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow Margarita Kotova. The pre -trial detention center supported the request of the convict. The prosecutor’s office, on the contrary, stated that the goals of the sentenced to Lebedev were not sentenced. Nevertheless, she did not appeal Kotova’s decision, and after a 10-day period, when it entered into legal force, the prisoner was released.

At the court on Udo Lebedev said that "he repented of his deed." “Any freedom, all sorts of riots, life at the expense of foreign governments - in the past. Now I will be honest,” he assured.

On April 25, 2013, the Moscow City Court sentenced Lebedev to two and a half years of the penal colony . He was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 212 (the organization of riots) for "riots" in Bolotnaya Square during the march of the millions on May 6, 2012 and in part 1 of Article 30, part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code (preparation for the organization of mass riots) according to the "Facts" set forth in the film "Anatomy of Protest - 2". Since Lebedev concluded a deal with the investigation, his case was listened in a special order - without analyzing evidence and interrogation of witnesses.

At the end of May 2013, it became known that Lebedev was left to serve the deadline for Lefortovo . As Lavrov explained then, this was done so that the convicted person testimony in the upcoming process of the coordinator of the left front Sergey Udaltsov and his assistant Leonid Razvozzhaev.

On March 12, 2014, Lebedev acted on this process as a witness to the prosecution, mainly repeating the testimony against his former associates, data on the investigation. The convict said that since 1999, along with Udaltsov and Razvozzhaev, he had prepared riots in Russia. He also spoke about the financing of the preparation of riots by Givi Targamadze. Lebedev said that in order to prepare the protest, the Georgian politician allegedly issued Udaltsov 30-40 thousand dollars monthly. This money went on trips to the regions, the seal of campaign materials and salaries to activists.

Nevertheless, at the trial, unlike the investigation, Lebedev stated that Udaltsov and Razvozhaev "were preparing activists, but not for riots, but to protect the tent camp." According to him, the events in Bolotnaya Square developed spontaneously, the defendants did not lead them.

The organizers of the rally planned to arrange Micromaidan on Bolotnaya, Lebedev said. The riots arose "because of the irresponsible actions of the liberal junta," he added. The convict showed that Udaltsov proposed to stay after the rally, but members of the organizing committee Alexei Navalny, Evgenia Chirikov, Boris Nemtsov and Harry Kasparov insisted on a sedentary strike. They planned to break through to the large stone bridge, Lebedev noted.
