The State Duma deputy United Russia Evgeny Fedorov is preparing a bill providing for the deprivation of state awards for "an encroachment on the sovereignty, immunity and territorial integrity of Russia." This was reported by Izvestia. The document is discussed at meetings of the deputy group "Russian Sovereignty".

Unenosero explained the meaning of his initiative by the fact that people who allow such performances are leveled by the price of Russian orders and medals. The court must deprive the awards, according to his plan, in cases where the malicious nature of the statements of the Orders beings is proved.

The LDPR deputy Mikhail Degtyarev approved the initiative. “To receive awards and at the same time groaning history, calling for a split is a two -deal,” he said.

Meanwhile, the ex-deputy and former member of Fair Russia Gennady Gudkov regarded Fedorov’s idea as a “hysteria”, noting that it fits into the “tendency to prohibitions”. “I think that if such a law will be accepted, then Nemtsov will come and give up his awards, I will also act,” the former deputy said. “If such people rule the country, then I don’t need to limit my freedom of speech and thoughts to take anything away.”

Member of the Presidential Council of Human Rights and Public Chamber, Joseph Diskin, also critically responded to the preparatory bill. “I think this is too much,” he said. “I will quote Catherine II, who, having come to power, gave the attitude:“ Words for actions do not count. ”She showed herself as a strong and wise ruler.” Diskin promised to execute the bill if this document is officially considered.

On Monday, it was reported that Fedorov proposed returning to the Criminal Code the norm on "damage to the sovereignty, immunity and territorial integrity of the country," canceled in 1997. Article 64 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR of 1960 provided for the responsibility for this crime up to the death penalty. The same norm was contained in Article 58 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR of 1926.

According to the bill, the new norm is supposed to be included in the current article 275 of the Criminal Code (state treason). At the same time, it is planned to tighten the maximum sanction for this crime from the 20 years of the colony to a life sentence.

“It is not necessary to think that this norm will affect individual citizens with their kitchen opposition conversations,” Fedorov assured. “The new norm will be mainly for officials who, in cooperation with foreign colleagues, allow themselves actions that harm state sovereignty or are directed against the integrity of the country.”

Unitedos explained the exclusion of this norm from Russian criminal legislation "by" the pressure of the United States and the circle of participants in the conspiracy on the implementation of the coup. "
