The former head of the Main Directorate of Economic Security and Anti -Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Denis Sugrobov was detained, Interfax reports with reference to the lawyer of the detained Georgy Antonov.

According to Georgy Antonov, on Thursday the Basmanny Court of the capital, the court will decide on the extent of suppressing for the detainee. Earlier, the investigation sent a petition to the court to arrest Denis Svugrobov. The ex-head of the Guinbipk want to arrest in the case of his deputy police general Boris Kolesnikov. The latter was charged with organizing a criminal community, abuse of authority and provocation of a bribe.

In turn, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the head of the Presidium of the All-Russian Public Organization “Officers of Russia” Anton Tsvetkov explained that the ex-General was detained during the May holidays in Volgograd and delivered to Moscow. Earlier, at least five summons were directed to Denis Sugrobov, and for any of them the general did not appear for interrogation.
