Street patrols strengthened in Mariupol

In Mariupol, the number of joint patrols of the police and public formation to protect public order has grown, Interfax reports.

The decision to increase the number of patrols was made in connection with the suppression of facts of looting and in order to avoid robberies.

All volunteers are registered members of the public formation for the protection of public order (OFOOP), created in 2001.

In addition, on May 10 there was a transition to a round -the -clock patrol mode.

Earlier it became known that Metallurgical Holding Metinvest announced a set of plant workers in the people's squads in Mariupol, Donetsk region.

The warriors will have to patrol the streets of the city and protect local residents of OR criminals and looters.

The holding also urged both warring parties to leave the city - representatives of the company believe that Mariupol should begin to live an ordinary life, and armed formations should begin peace negotiations.
