Daniil Konstantinov was given a deadline to familiarize himself with the case materials until May 14; before the announcement of the decision, the public was forcibly expelled from the building

Almost the same thing happened as on May 8: at 18:00, when the official opening hours of the Chertanovsky court ended, the bailiffs began to force people out of the building. The correspondent witnessed how the judge's assistant gave the corresponding order to the bailiffs. On this day, the court continued to consider investigator Smirnov’s petition to limit the period of familiarization with the case materials for Daniil Konstantinov until May 12, that is, until the current day. At the same time, as Konstantinov himself and his lawyers Denis Zatsepin and Valery Shkred stated during the meeting, the familiarization began on May 5, and during this time they were familiarized with only a few volumes of the case, and with a number of material evidence, including audio and video recordings, they were not were introduced at all - neither now nor when the case was investigated for the first time. Investigator Smirnov assured the court that all volumes of the case were delivered to Konstantinov in the Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention center, but investigator Smirnov himself was not present. Konstantinov and lawyer Shkred refuted this statement; each time they brought him one or two volumes, he familiarized himself with them for two or three hours, after which, on the initiative of representatives of the investigation, the familiarization was stopped until the next day. Judge Irina Ermishina asked the investigator whether order would be established in familiarizing with the case materials, and the investigator replied that there would be. The lawyers asked to set June 2 as the end date, but the judge decided otherwise. Thus, Konstantinov and his defense have only two days left to familiarize themselves with the case materials, despite the fact that so far they have looked at only a few volumes out of 17, and they have not familiarized themselves with audio and video materials, familiarization with which in theory would have required more than a week . Upon completion of the review of the case, an indictment will be drawn up and the case will be sent to the prosecutor's office. Lawyer Shkred said that, as recent practice shows, decisions on limiting the period of familiarization with case materials are not canceled by anyone.

As for the expulsion of the public from the courtroom, this, according to Shkred, is an unprecedented phenomenon for Moscow courts: as a rule, even if the court has officially stopped working, people who are inside at that moment can remain there and leave the building when they deem it necessary, therefore more so if the open court hearing is not yet over.
