
On Monday, May 12, Moscow announced the program of the 25th Open Russian Film Festival "Kinotavr", which will be held in Sochi from June 1 to 8.
The main competition included 14 films, including six debuts, ITAR-TASS said the President of the festival Alexander Rodnyansky.

The chairman of the jury "Kinotavra" is director Andrei Zvyagintsev . At the closure of the festival, his “Leviathan” will be shown, and, as the author of the film RIA Novosti said, obscene vocabulary will be preserved, despite the adoption of the law on the ban on swearing words in works of art.
The jury also included the director of the Department of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture Vyacheslav Telnov, actors Yuri Kolokolnikov and Elena Lyadova, operator Vladislav Opelants, screenwriter Denis Rodimin and film critic Alena Shumakova.
It is already known that on June 1, at the opening ceremony of the festival, the first prize will be awarded - “for the artistic language that influenced the world cinema, and an uncompromising civil position”. It will be received by director Alexander Sokurov.
