The house in which the leader of the German Nazis Adolf Hitler was born can become the center of integration for migrants in the Austrian city of Brownow-on-Inna, writes Austrian Times .
The future leader of the NSDAP lived in this building the first three years of his life. At that time, a beer was located in the house, the owner of which Hitler's parents rented several rooms. In 1938, the building was bought by the personal secretary of Führer Martin Bormann, and his initials were engraved above the front door. After the Second World War, the building was surrendered to the Austrian Republic, at first a library was located in it, then it was replaced by a bank, then a technical school. Finally, in 1976, the house was occupied by a charitable organization of assistance to disabled people who worked in the building until 2013.
Recently, Volkshilfe, the owner of the building, has offered the concept of an integration office offering language courses for migrants and other social services. According to the source, the deadline for making a decision expires this Friday, May 16.
Austria authorities want to quickly put an end to disputes about the future of this building and conclude a deal with the owner of the building. The mayor of the city of Braunau-on-Inna, representing the conservative people's party of Austria, previously stated that there are already enough memorial structures about the crimes of Nazism in the region, so the house must be handed over. However, the idea of organizing assistance and linguistic courses for immigrants proposed by the City Council caused an ambiguous reaction of the world community.
Recall that two years ago, the deputies of United Russia and the Communist Party expressed a desire to redeem the house for subsequent destruction.
