The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov suspected the Ukrainian authorities in concealment from the Society for Preparations for Constitutional Reform in the country. It is reported by RIA Novosti .

“The preparation of constitutional reform is carried out cello and non -transparent. What changes are made there, no one knows. But the other day, another message was received that these changes have already been aimed at assessing the European Council of the Council of the Council. It is somewhat strange, because usually the procedure first implies a national discussion of a particular law and only then an examination of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, ”Lavrov said.

At the end of April, temporary President of Ukraine Alexander Turchinov and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that Kyiv was preparing to carry out constitutional reform, which would fix wider powers for the regions. In particular, the regions will be given the right, in addition to the state - Ukrainian - language, to give official status to Russian or other language, if most of the population speaks on it.

It is planned that in the first reading constitutional reform will be adopted by the Verkhovna Rada until the end of May.

The Russian authorities refuse to recognize the current Ukrainian government legitimate. The Kremlin believes that the removal from the power of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych was carried out in an unconstitutional way.
