Russia and China will build a competitor Boeing and Airbus together

Moscow and Beijing can be united for the construction of a wide -body farmagistral aircraft, which will become a competitor to European Airbus and American Boeing. The discussion of this project is one of the most important issues of military-technical cooperation that will be discussed during the visit of Vladimir Putin to Shanghai.

In addition to the aircraft, Moscow will offer Beijing the joint development of a heavy helicopter for the needs of Chinese military and civil structures based on the Russian Mi-26. Thus, Kommersant writes , Russia is going to discover China access to its aviation know-how.

“We are ready to go to the transfer of a number of technologies when creating joint production, since then the creation of samples will be conducted on a parity basis and under our control,” says the interlocutor of the newspaper.

The visit of Vladimir Putin to Shanghai and a meeting with the chairman of China Xi Jinping will be held on May 20–21. According to the assistant President Yuri Ushakov, a “fantastic package of documents” is being prepared for this meeting: it has 43 agreements, of which about 30 will be signed.

One of the most important issues of negotiations is expected to be cooperation in the gas sector. Gazprom is considering exporting to China for 14 years, and during this time the parties have not been able to agree on the cost of supplies. But in the context of increasing the tension between Moscow and Europe, the Russian company can make concessions.

“To some extent, it obviously affects,” Uchakov admitted , answering the question of whether the Russian-Chinese negotiations on gas from relations with the West depend on.

On May 14, the representative of the CNPC Chinese Zhang Sin said that the price agreement has not yet been reached, but the next day, Gazprom announced that the preparation of the terms of the contract “is at the final stage”. In anticipation of a possible transaction, the quotes of Gazprom go up the beginning of the month.
