The 2014 European Museum was recognized as the “Museum of Innocialness” in Istanbul, created by the Laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature, the author of the novel “Museum of Innociality” by Orhan Pamukom.
According to Deutsche Welle , this decision was made following a meeting of the jury of the European Museum Forum held in Tallinn. More than 30 museums claimed the title of the European Museum of the year.
The Museum of Innociality was opened in 2012. A few years before, in 2008, Pamuk published his novel “The Museum of Innociality” ( Masumiyet Müzesi ), in which the story of one love leads to the creation of a museum.
The basis of the exposition is the households and personal belongings of the 1970s-the 1980s, which the author collected in Turkey, working on his work.
