
By June, a working group under the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation will submit the first conclusions regarding the new Law on Culture.
This was announced today, May 21, the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, speaking as part of the "parliamentary hour" in the Federation Council, ITAR-TASS reports.
The first meetings of the working group are already taking place, the minister said. After the main ideas are formulated, they will be presented for public discussion. He hopes that in the end the “peculiar cultural code” will be developed.
Medinsky is convinced that the Law on Culture is "this is a document that the industry has been waiting for 20 years." He added that the Ministry of Culture will try to collect in it "all legal norms - from the law on cinema to the law on advertising."
