Billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov is going to leave the post of head of the Federal Political Committee of the Civil Platform party. His place will be taken by the Rifat of Shaikhutdinov. At the same time, neither Mikhail Prokhorov nor his sister Irina are going to leave the party.
Today in the Izvestia newspaper an article was published, which also said that Mikhail Prokhorov would leave the post of chairman of the Federal Political Committee of the party, but it was added that the founder of the “Civil Platform” would leave the party, as he lost interest in politics.
Rifat ShaikhutdinovInformation about his future appointment to the head of the Federal Political Committee of the Civil Platform, Izvestia was confirmed by Rifat Shaikhutdinov himself. According to him, the permutations are related to preparations for parliamentary elections, which will be held a little more than two years later, in December 2016. Today, according to Shaikhutdinov, the party is poorly ready for them. “You need to do a lot to overcome the passing barrier,” said the future leader of the Civil Platform.
Izvestia also wrote that the head of the Civil Platform, Irina Prokhorova, like her brother, lost interest in politics, as she could not become a full -fledged leader in the party. According to the publication, she was supposed to announce the time of a press conference about her decision, at which according to the plan, candidates from the “Civil Platform” were supposed to be presented to the Moscow City Duma.
Irina ProkhorovaAt this press conference, Irina Prokhorova said that she herself learned about her resignation only from the morning press. “Izvestia suggested that Prokhorov would leave the party, and I, apparently, on a related basis should leave after him. The technical functions of Mikhail Prokhorov will be transferred to other party members, and he himself will do deep work, ”said the head of the Civil Platform party to reporters.
Recall that businessman Mikhail Prokhorov, who today occupies the 11th line in the ranking of Forbes magazine the richest people of the country, first “went to politics” in 2011, when the party “right-handed” was headed by the State Duma. In the fall, however, the party’s congress removed him from the Office, Prokhorov himself announced the raider seizure and refused to participate in the parliamentary campaign. In 2012, he moved to the presidency and scored almost 8%of the vote, having received the third result after Vladimir Putin (63.6%) and Gennady Zyuganov (17.2%). Residents of large cities voted especially well for Prokhorov, in Moscow he received more than 20% of the vote and took second place.
Quite good results in the presidential election inspired Prokhorov, and he created the political party “Civil Platform”, which was easily registered by the Ministry of Justice after the liberalization of the Party Law.
According to Prokhorov’s initial project, “Civil Platform” should have been a party as such, but an organization that would “keep a license” to allow the “leaders of civil society to go to the polls”, were primarily meant by local -level campaigns in large cities.
Prokhorov believed that exactly 500 people should consist in the “Civil Platform”, as the federal law requires, the party should not have ideology and it should support any “bright person” who will decide to go to the elections, not excluding members of United Russia. Mikhail Prokhorov himself was not going to join the party.
The first chairman of the party’s executive committee was Elena Bulavskaya, head of the ONEXIM group of the ONEXIM group.
However, already in the fall of 2012, at the Civil Platform Congress, Mikhail Prokhorov announced his entry into the party. He was elected to the post of head of the party, and also combined the posts of chairmen of the Federal Political Committee and the Federal Civil Committee, consisting of non -partisan supporters. Then Prokhorov announced that he would only be engaged in politics, and transferred the management of his business assets to partners. A little later it became known that Mikhail Prokhorov left the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
In 2013, it was expected that Mikhail Prokhorov would participate in the election of the capital's mayor - a year before he showed an excellent result in Moscow. However, Russian legislation demanded that he transfer all foreign assets into the country, and the “civilian platform” refused to nominate its candidate.
In December 2013, Mikhail Prokhorov resigned the powers of the party chairman, this place was taken by his sister Irina. She stated that she would generally continue the strategic line of her brother, which is based on the “humanistic concept of the country's development” developed in the “civilian platform”.
However, the Civil Platform party has always left a somewhat strange impression. Despite the rather opposition statements, at key points, its leadership was far from always “went to the end”, as an example showed with a refusal to nominate Mikhail Prokhorov in the elections of the Moscow Mayor.
Now, when preparations are underway for elections to the Moscow City Duma, the “civilian platform”, although it will participate in them, but not too noticeable - it will nominate only six candidates, and the party leader Irina Prokhorova will not include in their number. At the same time, the GP supports the so -called “ primaries ”, which take place with not very hidden support of state bodies.
Leonid Yarmolnik. Photo: civilplatform.ruThe most famous candidate for elections to the capital's parliament is actor Leonid Yarmolnik. At a press conference, he stated that he was going to deal with the problems of homeless animals, and also boasted that all his neighbors in case of problems go to him-he could achieve both asphalt laying in the yard and replacing light bulbs in the entrance.
Given the rather dubious electoral prospects of candidates from the “Civil Platform” in Moscow, the purpose of the emergence of information about the departure of Prokhorovs from the party is not entirely clear - it is unlikely that this will be able to significantly discredit Prokhorov’s supporters in the eyes of Muscovites, moreover, before the elections are another four months.
On the other hand, without an article in Izvestia, the Civil Platform party would hardly have been in the focus of all political media in the focus - not to write to everyone about the nomination of Leonid Yarmolnik.
