None of the living people spoke about modern man as Ibsen did. About the loneliness of a decent person, about the impossibility of resisting the will of the majority .
Sergey Kuryshev - the actor is not the most even. He is not Igor Ivanov or Pyotr Semak, who amaze immediately. You don’t accept Kuryshev, you don’t immediately get used to his manner to stay on stage and speak. But his whole path, it seems to me, was started for the role in this performance. Because I am sure that this is the role precisely Kuryshev, no one else. It is his manner, speech, gestures that are manner, speech and gestures of Dr. Stockman. Rare, but in the performance of Dodin there is a lot of music. Music and air scenography of Alexander Borovsky make this performance beautiful. The tragedy of a person does not seem so terrible when such a house and such music surrounds him.
