There will be no "prospects" at the MMKF again

The Moscow International Film Festival (MMKF), as last year, will not hold the second most important competition - “prospects”, to which debut and experimental work participated.

“The reasons are economic, we get funding in rubles, in this regard there were some difficulties,” ITAR-TASS said the program director of the MMKF Kirill Razlogov.

At the same time, he noted, "traditional programs will be preserved at the festival - the main competition, the competitions of documentaries and creators of short films."

The 36th Moscow International Film Festival will be held from June 19 to 28. It is already known that the main competition will include films of directors from Germany, Israel, Switzerland, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine, Japan, Greece and other countries. So far, the film is represented by the film by Valeria Guy Germanika “Yes and yes”.

Also at the festival the best paintings of the directors of Latin America of recent times and films with young Bruce Lee will be presented.

The chairman of the jury will be director Gleb Panfilov. The finally formed program of the film festival will be announced at a press conference in Moscow on May 29.
