Billionaire Petro Poroshenko wins in the first round of the presidential election in Ukraine. About 54 percent of voters voted for him. Ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko received about 13 percent. The third place was taken by the leader of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko - about 9 percent. The leader of Freedom Oleg Tyagnibok received a little more than 1 percent of the vote, the head of the Right Sector Dmitry Yarosh - less than one percent.

The elections passed with a high turnout - about 60 percent on average in the country. Meanwhile, attempts by terrorists to disrupt the elections in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions were largely successful. A particularly difficult situation is in the Donetskiy - according to the regional administration, the elections did not take place in 23 cities and 6 regions of the region. In the Novoaydarsky district of Luhansk region, militants captured four polling stations; In the district center itself there was a cruel fight of the security forces with terrorists.

In a number of regions, the elections were accompanied by provocations. So, in Kharkov in the morning a false message was received about the mining of one of the sites. In Kyiv, a number of sites appeared, trying to disrupt the vote, but their provocations quickly stopped.
