Anomalous rains caused the strongest floods in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia

On May 21–23, mourning was declared in Serbia. Anomalous rains in the Balkans - in a week there was a two -month rational rate - the strongest floods in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia caused. Moreover, the latter came the main blow of the elements. Almost a third of the countries emerged from the banks of the river, some cities completely went under water, others were left without electricity, warmth and water. Of the 49 dead 30 - in Serbia, 130 thousand people left their homes. The factories stopped, the largest Serbian power plant “Nikola Tesla” was threatened, the largest coal basin “Kolubar” was completely flooded in the country. According to preliminary estimates, there were more than 80 thousand hectares of farmers under the water along with a sown crop, in the villages the case of livestock began. Specialists predict: without outside help, Serbia threatens hunger.

But Serbia was not left alone. Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic donated half a million dollars to compatriots to compatriots, $ 50 thousand were transferred by actress Angelina Jolie. The Serbian embassies throughout Europe instantly organized humanitarian aid collection points, only more than 100 tons of humanitarian goods were delivered to Belgrade, 72 rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies evacuated more than 2 thousand people from flooded areas. Probably, fraternal help should look like.
