Cannes without Jalen and Dardenov. Inna Denisova about what is important in the shadow of enthusiastic festival reports: about farewells, words and Slavs.
Frame from the film "White God" the time of the beast (the main festival totem is a dog)A girl with bright red lips in a bright blue dress, standing against the backdrop of bright green mountains, tells her father that she wants to get a dog when they return home. Blood will look just as beautiful on a green background.
In the film “Hoha” Lyandro Alonso Dancean, father (Viggo Mortensen) and daughter (Gita Nerby), and several more soldiers wandering around the pampa in search of Hokhi, the Argentine Shambhala. Through the dangers of the pampu, the father will go to look for a daughter that disappeared one morning - not to return anymore.
The old woman-hermit with the dog, whom he will meet in the mountains, will ask him in the voice of his daughter: "What was my mother?" Moving around the Argentine surroundings, the father, only in time, wanders in time. The daughter, again young, is found: it is not clear, in the past or in the future, but always at home, and certainly with the dog. “Hoha” - the most beautiful and fabulous film of the festival, shown in the “Special Gazing”, received only a prize of the films.
People can no longer trust love; Only dogs.
The winner of the “special look” was, however, a film about the suffering of a pure dog: “White God” by Cornel Mundruzo . The director, who had previously turned films into performances and operas, now took up the circus: he scored from the shelters of stray dogs, performed and shot with their participation one of the most expressive scenes in the history of the cinema. The episode of the “White God”, where the flock of dogs breaks out from behind the iron fence and runs, destroyed everything in its path, rhymes with the chronicles of the Maidan from the film by Sergey Loznitsa, fixing the growth of the revolutionary spirit of the crowd.
People can no longer trust love, only dogs have not lost trust. “The terrible is what needs our love most,” Mundruzo in the credits prescribes a simple truth. “People, you forgot your mission. A man was born for love! " - shouts a lonely voice from the crowd of Maidan.
And again the dog - in "Farewell to the tongue" (" Adieu Au Language ”) Godard: heroes make her instead of children, she is better than a new person. Darwin's words accompany the chronicle of everyday dog serenity: "A dog is the only creature that loves you more than yourself."
