The ensemble "4'33" celebrates the 20th anniversary

On June 19, a concert of the 4'33 ensemble will be held in the Moscow International House of Music, which in May 2014 celebrates the 20th anniversary of creative activity.

A special program was prepared for the anniversary, including a performance with the orchestra and the participation of eminent guests from Europe with which the ensemble carried out a number of joint projects, according to Facebook by the team. Famous compositions and new works of Alexei Aigi, written for a festive concert, will sound.

Alexei Aigi (b. 1971), one of the most sought -after film composers of Russia, made the famous Saundant for the film Valery Todorovsky “Country of the Deaf” (1997). For this work, he received the Golden Aries National Prize and was nominated for Nick as the best composer.

Later, the music appeared for the films “Lover” by Valery Todorovsky, “The Death of the Empire”, “Dostoevsky”, “Demons” by Vladimir Khotinenko and “Wild Field” by Mikhail Kalatosishvili, for which Aigi was awarded the Nick, “Golden Eagle”, “White Elephant” and the prize of the Kinotavr festival.

In 1994, the musician organized the 4'33 ensemble, performing both the works of Aigi and the music of John Cage, Terry Ryili, Steve Reich and other authors. Over the 20 years of his history, the ensemble released more than twenty albums, tours a lot in Russia and abroad.
