Moscow Youth Biennale announced participants

Participants in the main project of the IV Moscow International Biennale of Young Art were announced, which will be held from June 26 to August 10, 2014.

The list of 83 is an artist from 32 countries, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Biennale press service.

The chief curator of Biennale David Ellitt was engaged in selection. In total, more than three thousand applications were received for the competition.

“For the fourth Moscow International Biennale of Young Art, I chose the theme of“ Dreaming ”as a symbol of the chronic unreliability of our time and the acute desire of the young and all future generations to dream in order to overcome the boundaries of“ things as they are ”and improve this world,” says Elliot.

Basically, the project will be attended, in particular, heba Yehiya Amin (Egypt), au Hoy Lam (Hong Kong), Cvetlana Erkovich (Belarusia), Michael Vuts (Germany), Tomoko Kashiki (Japan), Khihi Samnang (Cambodia), Sylvia Yawan (Finland), Veronika Yakatich-Sat (Hungary), Christian Nemet (Slovakia).

Among the Russian participants Vladimir Logutov, Anastasia Vepreva and Evgeny Gorlshchikov.

The main project of Biennale will be shown in the Moscow Museum, where educational and children's programs will also be presented. Biennale strategic projects will be held at the venues of the organizers of the project - the State Center for Contemporary Art (HCSI) and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA).
