The FSIN suspects that the leader of the Party of Progress Alexei Navalny violates the conditions of house arrest using the Internet. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the head of the FSIN Office for the Organization of Punishment, not related to deprivation of liberty, Elena Zarebinskaya.

As the official said, when such suspicions appeared, the FSINESS reports about them to the investigator ”and special units are further work.” In the case of Navalny, however, the FSIN "informed not only the investigator, but also the General Prosecutor's Office," added Zarebinskaya.

Navalny is placed under house arrest as an accused in the "postal case". He, like his brother, businessman Oleg Navalny, is charged with part 4 of Article 159 (fraud on an especially large amount committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy and using his official position) and paragraph “A” of part 3 of Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code (laundering of funds by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).

On April 24 and 28, preliminary hearings on the "postal case" were held in the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow. According to the results of the hearing, Judge Elena Korobchenko returned the case to the prosecutor’s office , considering the incorrect qualifications of the actions of the accused, as well as taking into account a number of other violations that the defense indicated. On May 21, the court received an appeal submission of the prosecutor's office for this decision.

Previously, Navalny was under the subscription about the loss. However, on February 28, the judge of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow Arthur Karpov, at the request of the investigation, tightened the opposition to the preventive measure , sending him under house arrest.
