Ministry of Internal Affairs: In the suburbs, they prevented a terrorist attack

The Ministry of Internal Affairs on its website announced the detention of 10 natives of Dagestan, who "allegedly planned the commission of a sabotage and terrorist act in the Moscow region during the celebration of Victory Day." The detention was conducted by the TSPE operatives together with the FSB with the power support of the VSR "Lynx".

The residents of the Moscow Region were registered in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, "possibly involved in the activities of the extremist underground of the Republic of Dagestan." At the May holidays, the Central Federal District received information on the acquisition of components for the manufacture of bombs, "as well as a number of other information that allow us to conclude about the preparation of a terrorist act in this area." On the morning of May 7, all visitors were detained at the place of residence.

During a search in the room where the Dagestanis lived, a homemade bomb was stated, which was a five -liter canister with a grenade, filled with mounting foam, as well as a "substance with damaging elements."

In addition, a large number of religious literature were seized, including books from the list of "extremist", more than 20 mobile phones, a walkie -talkie, two laptops and electronic watches of Syria. As the department suggests, these watches were planned to be used as a timer for a bomb.

Finally, says the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainees found a map of "one of the city near Moscow" and a list of events planned there on May 9, as well as detailed instructions for making bombs from improvised materials.

All detainees are arrested. It is reported that they give confessions. "The organizer, as well as the executors of the planned terrorist attack, are established," says the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Meanwhile, so far the case was opened only under Articles 222 (illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition) and 223 of the Criminal Code (illegal manufacture of weapons and ammunition).
