The Eurasian Economic Union created without special fanfare . The news of the signing by presidents Vladimir Putin, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Alexander Lukashenko of the relevant agreements was lost against the backdrop of the growing confrontation of power and opposition in Abkhazia and the resentment of the Russian leader that he was not invited to the inauguration of the Ukrainian colleague.

And the union itself turned out to be some kind of blow. No matter how much its creators compare their brainchild with the European Union, and it is difficult to imagine that the organizers of the European Economic Community, when its creation, postponed the unification of markets for a decade. And they would not just postpone, but would also be proud of this, as they were proud in Russia: now, they shaved Lukashenko, forced him to sign it without unification and saved 4 billion dollars a year for the budget. So if for you an economic association with neighbors is a potential loss of 4 billion, why do you even create it? After all, the economy does not happen!

In the economy - does not happen. And in politics, densely involved in nostalgia for the Soviet Union, the imperial inferiority complex and misunderstanding, how to get out of an increasing crisis, it happens! The Eurasian Economic Union is just a cardboard decoration designed to hide the helplessness of its initiators in the face of really serious challenges of our time. For more than a decade, all these aging retrogrades lived due to energy over -theisles - Putin and Nazarbayev devastated the bowels of their countries, Lukashenko finished Russia. As a result, they not only missed the moment when it was necessary to carry out real reforms - they also formed the sockets of parasites, burning all living and initiative in their countries with a hot iron.

And so the thunder struck - and the men rushed to save the acquired. Putin chose the simplest and most understandable path for the authoritarian ruler: the annexation, the besieged fortress, the increase in hatred of those outside, and the willingness to trample those who have not gone crazy inside. Lukashenko, too, did not change tactics, interrupting Putin billions in return for his readiness to sign the "union of the doomed". Nazarbayev was generally lost: a politician who always successfully maneuvered between the East and the West and perfectly understood what a slow -off mine was laid in the north of Kazakhstan, and he himself paved the cord to this mine, agreeing with the annexation of Crimea.

Once I called the Eurasian Union of the Union of dictators. But now I would call it an unassumed union - which is much worse. Because these people do everything wrong. Putin, instead of carrying out reforms and developing the initiative of Russians in the context of reducing the energy margin, is fond of an inglorious war and indulges in Lumpen, whom he himself will not be able to feed soon. Lukashenko, instead of understanding that he will no longer live at the Russian expense, twist the money and threatens to fix his own peasants . Nazarbayev, instead of protecting the territorial integrity in the post -Soviet space as the apple of the eye, he himself undermines it.

They grew up, lost their scent, lost their grip, was blind, deaf, stupefied - and, holding hands, dragging their own fellow citizens to the abyss under the patriotic marches. No, this is not the Soviet Union - because the Soviet Union was terrible, but meaningful. And the latest history has not yet known a more meaningless and doomed association than the Eurasian Union of Inadequate.
