Most Google's services blocked in China

Some Google services are blocked in China, presumably, in connection with the approach of the anniversary of events in Tiananmen Square, where a student demonstration was dispersed in 1989, RIA Novosti reports.

Almost all Google resources turned out to be blocked, in particular search, viewing images, as well as the Gmail email service. In addition, they are not available to Chinese users not only in the Chinese domain, but also on Hong Kong and foreign versions, such as Google.fr.

The Greatfire.org portal connects the restriction of access to Google resources with the approach of the anniversary of the Events on Tiananmen Square, when on June 4, 1989, during the suppression of the student demonstration in Beijing, according to official figures, about 200 people were killed and seven thousand were injured.
Representatives of Google, in turn, said that from May 31 to the present, the company's services in China are only partially available, but no technical problems arose from the corporation.

The Chinese authorities seek to control the information distributed on the network and block many resources, the contents of which do not fit into state policy. For example, resources such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube are not available to users in China.

Recall that the other day, a scandal associated with cyberspios broke out between China and the United States. The parties exchanged accusations and introduced a number of restrictions on the supply of network equipment and software.
