The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine called the temporary attorney in Russia in Ukraine Andrei Vorobyov and handed him two notes of protest. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian foreign policy.
In one of the documents, the Ministry "applied to the Russian side to provide clarifications regarding the facts of violation of the regime of the Ukrainian-Russian state border." The Foreign Ministry indicated the detention on May 30 by Ukrainian border guards in the direction of New Nadezhda (Russia) - Dibrovka (Ukraine) of armed persons while trying to illegally cross the border from the territory of Russia with a large number of weapons. In addition, the department recalled violation of the country's airspace by Russia on May 28. Then a Russian drone was shot down in the ATO zone.
The second note declared "a decisive protest in connection with the inaction of the border service and other competent bodies of Russia, which do not impede the illegal movement of armed organized formations and persons to Ukraine."
The Russian side was also called to take the necessary actions for the urgent liberation of the captured members of the OSCE mission.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia received a note of the foreign policy of Ukraine on the closure of several border points between the countries, according to the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry. In total, there are eight such points, they are located in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
"They are forced to state with regret that this measure of the Kyiv authorities is unlikely to contribute to solving the humanitarian problems of residents of this region of Ukraine," the report said.
The report of the State Border Service of Ukraine says that the points are closed "in order to prevent a threat to life and health of the population as a result of dangerous events that occur in certain territories, and for considerations of public security."
Russia has repeatedly stated thousands of refugees who are supposedly striving to cross the Russian-Ukrainian border. Russia also turned to the UN Security Council with a request to organize a humanitarian corridor for them. However, the draft resolution was rejected by all countries - members of the Security Council, except China . In turn, the border service of Ukraine denied rumors about the stream of refugees .
