The prize to the director at the closing of the festival at the Winter Theater was awarded to the President of Kinotavr, Alexander Rodnyansky, chairman of the trusteeship of the festival Fedor Bondarchuk and jury chairman Andrei Zvyagintsev, Interfax reports.
Getting a reward, Alexander Cott admitted that making this film was his dream. “I believe that cinema is an image, because the cinema was invented by the dumb,” he said.
“Test” - a film about a love story against the backdrop of nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk training ground in 1949 - was also awarded the elephant of the guild of film experts and film critics.
Anna Melikyan (“Star”) received a prize for directing, for the best script - Yuri Bykov (“Fool”), for the best female role was awarded to Severia Yanushauskaite (“Star”), for the best male role - Alexei Filimonov (“Another year”).
The painting “Class of Correction” by Ivan Tverdovsky was recognized as the best debut. She received a prize of the jury of the film distributors.
Previously, the winners of the contest “Kinotavr. A short meter ”, the main prize was won by the black comedy“ Inadvertently ”Zhora Kryzhovnikov.
