In mid -May, the Ombudsman Ella Pamfilova joined the problem of Kosenko. She stated that she met with the President of the Independent Psychiatric Association of Russia Yuri Savenko, convinced of the unreasonableness of the Politzek’s premises in the hospital, and is already dealing with the issue. Savenko suggested that Ombudsman form a group of independent experts from different organizations, including from the NPA he headed, and conduct a repeated examination of Kosenko. Soon after this meeting, May 19, Ksenia Kosenko turned to Vladimir Putin with a request to help with the transfer of her brother from inpatient treatment to an outpatient clinic. The sister of the "Swamp Prisoner" noticed that from April 25, when the Politsyk was taken to a psychiatric hospital, he does not receive any therapy except the one he received before his arrest, living at home and periodically visiting the doctor.
“There were no conflicts and difficult situations with other patients and medical staff, as well as during the entire stay in the pre -trial detention center, it was recorded, which indicates his stable psychological state, despite the events and circumstances that have surrounded him over the past two years,” the appeal emphasized.
Ksenia Kosenko assured that the rehabilitation of her brother "will help leading specialists of Russian and European clinics, and this will bring an incomparably greater effect than the content in the hospital."

The lawyers of the "Swamp Prisoner" insisted on revising the decision, referring to the presence of typos and semantic errors in his text. They filed a number of petitions for re -consideration of evidence. All petitions were rejected.
