As for the main favorites, these are Spain, Germany, Brazil and, probably, Argentina. It would still be Italy to theoretically record, but she has a lot of problems.

- The Germans have a good team. Spaniards, existing world and European champions. The Argentines have a very strong team. Uruguay and Chile. Plus, Africans can make a surprise, they have repeatedly presented surprises. The Portuguese have a good team. The Russian team missed the world championships in Germany and South Africa. The last time the team performed at the mundial in 2002, not even managing to leave the group, which was considered relatively easy - in it, in addition to the Russians, the national teams of Japan, Belgium and Tunisia played. It is curious that the selection of rivals this year turned out to be very similar: it is Belgium again, as well as South Korea and Algeria. This group is also called one of the simplest, but many agree that Russia is going to the championship in the wrong form. Among them is Alexander Bubnov:

- In my opinion, we have the weakest team for all the years. I do not take Soviet, I should not compare with the Soviet ones at all, it is so weak compared to Soviet teams. In all new Russian history, this is the weakest team at the World Cup. She has a fairly eminent coach, but in composition, by stardom, by the Russian standards of stars, she is the weakest. The qualifying cycle - in a group with the Portuguese, they took the first place, but Portugal frankly fools, caught on only at the end.

In addition, Kirill Dementiev resembles, the national team markedly weakened the injury of one of the leading players:

- Of course, the injury of Roman Shirokov worsens our chances, because it is difficult for him to find an adequate replacement. The whole cycle, led by Capello Shirokov, was the key player of the team, I don’t know how to replace it at this moment. Therefore, the way out of the group will be considered a great success for our team.

How successfully Brazil will cope with the championship, it is important for Russia, Yuri Duda notes:

- There are suspicions that she will cope with this tournament worse than many might have thought. For FIFA, this will be a kind of signal to tightly control the one who is following the World Cup for the next, and Russia is accepted by the next. True, after the Sochi Olympics, there is reason to think that we conduct such tournaments cool and, as they say, without a bitch and a bitch.

From the point of view of Cyril Dementiev, technical problems are inevitable, but the atmosphere of the championship promises to be bright:

Once every four years you have the opportunity to play with the teams with which you, with the exception of completely meaningless and, in a sense, you will never play impotent friendly matches. Everyone understands and experience even more enthusiasm than if we got there every time.

The Russian team will hold its first game on June 18, and the final will take place in a month, July 13, and will be played at the legendary Marakana stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
