In Paris, London and some other cities of Europe, a taxi strike is taking place today.
They protest against the use of competing companies such as the American Uber, special smartphone applications, thanks to which customers can order cars and pay for services. Taxi drivers from other companies see in the use of these technologies unfair competition, since the use of smartphones allows you to bypass a number of restrictions that apply to "classic" taxios.
It is reported that hundreds of taxi cars actually blocked the entrance to the two largest Parisian airports. Taxi drivers also deliberately create traffic jams on highways leading to Paris.
In France today there is also a trunk on the railway. It began the night before, but the main “blow” came in the morning of Wednesdays, when some international trains and high -speed TGV trains were canceled. In the whole country, from half to two -thirds of trains were canceled. The 24-hour warning strike is carried out in protest against the plans for the reform of railway transport.
