The Foundation for Combating Corruption (FBK) of Alexei Navalny launched a service that allows everyone to anonymously send materials for investigations. The new site was called Black Box (English - Black Box, Slon ), according to Navalny's blog.
“All files are transmitted by safe connection, we get them, encrypt and send them to a protected server, access to which only employees of the investigation department have. We do not store data on the IP addresses of users and do not log in, ”the page says.
For maximum anonymity, it is proposed to use the Tor browser - the network anonymity service, which “hides” the end user behind the route chain.
Navalny emphasized that the FBK had previously used anonymous messages for investigations. Thus, in particular, the analysts of the fund discovered the property of the Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin real estate and built a scheme for the owners of the service of selling railway tickets via the Internet.
How exactly an anonymous transmission of materials for investigations is organized, the blog is not reported. At the same time, the Black Box is similar to the Securedrop service, which is used by various media to obtain information from anonymous informants. This service is also built on the basis of the Tor system.
