
The California company GOPRO, a manufacturer of video cameras for filming in extreme conditions, plans to attract more than $ 427 million during the preparatory IPO. The startup estimated himself at almost $ 3 billion, according to Fortune .
The company plans to sell 17.8 million shares of class “A” at a price of $ 21 to $ 24 each, according to documents prepared for American regulators. This means that GoPro can attract up to $ 427.2 million if the shares leave the upper placement border, which is four times more than the plans voiced a month earlier. The company itself will offer 50% of the papers to the market, the remaining shareholders.
GOPRO submitted an application for IPO in February, but no details were then disclosed - this is allowed to companies with revenue below $ 1 billion per year. In May, the startup first announced the details: it was announced, in particular, that his net profit last year amounted to about $ 60 million, and sales increased by 87%over the year. Then Gopro said that during the primary placement it plans to attract about $ 100 million .
IPO date has not yet been set. The company will enter the NASDAQ exchange under the GPRO ticer.
