Convicted person in the "swamp case" Mikhail Kosenko was released to be treated home

The Chekhov City Court transferred Mikhail Kosenko a convicted person in the “swamp case” for home treatment. This was reported on his twitter by RAPSI correspondent Maria Gusarova.

Kosenko will have to be observed by a psychiatrist as part of compulsory outpatient treatment. The prosecutor's office announced the intention to appeal the court decision.

Since the end of April 2014, Kosenko has been undergoing forced treatment in a psychiatric hospital No. 5 in the village of Troitskoye, Chekhovsky district of the Moscow Region. In March, the Moscow City Court approved the verdict of Kosenko, according to which he was recognized as insane and sent for treatment.

In October 2013, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow found Kosenko guilty of participating in the riots on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012 and an attack on a police officer. Kosenko himself declares his innocence. Before the trial, he was under arrest since June 2012.

The defendants of the so -called “swamp business” are about 30 people. Nine of them received real terms, some of the passing in the case were amnestied. Alexandra Naumova (Dukhanin) received a conditional term. In March 2014, four more defendants in the process were transferred to the court.
