The arrested major general of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Boris Kolesnikov fell out of the window during interrogation in the TFR. Interfax reported the suicide of Kolesnikov with reference to the lawyer of the deceased Georgy Antonov.

Antonov himself was previously removed from the case, so he talked about the events from the words of another lawyer, Sergey Chizhikov, who was present during the interrogation of Kolesnikov on Monday. "During the interrogation, the investigator and lawyer Chizhikov left the office, at that moment my client jumped out of the window," Antonov said. At the same time, Lifenews said the lawyer said that Kolesnikov’s call for interrogation was a complete surprise for everyone.

The version, which - also from the words of Chizhikov, was outlined by another lawyer of the accused, Anna Stavitskaya, is somewhat different. She said that Kolesnikov at some point in the interrogation went to the balcony with the investigator, after which the investigator returned to the office and said that the prisoner had committed suicide.

Meanwhile, the press secretary of the TFR Vladimir Markin presented the third version of the events. According to him, during the interrogation, the accused asked to the toilet and went there accompanied by two escorts. In accordance with the instructions, handcuffs were removed from it. However, later, Markin noted, Kolesnikov unexpectedly ran out of the toilet, knocking him down at first from one of the escorts, and then the second, which was in the corridor. After that, he jumped out onto the balcony and jumped down from the sixth floor.

Markin said that on the fact of the death of the prisoner, a preliminary investigation was launched. "It should be noted that earlier, while the detention of Kolesnikov, he made suicidal attempts twice," the official said.

On May 29, Kommersant reported that the investigation suspected the arrested Kolesnikov in drug storage. It was claimed in the sneakers, transmitted by the accused wife, the service dog found traces of heroin. Protection categorically refuted the allegations of Kolesnikov’s drug addiction.

In early May, Chizhikov said that his client was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury. Kolesnikov does not remember the circumstances of the injury, the lawyer noted. The Fsinovites, who delivered the prisoner to the hospital, told the doctors that he had fallen. As a suicide attempt, this incident was not qualified.

Meanwhile, Victoria Kolesnikova, the wife of the deceased, told Lifenews that, in her conviction, the accused was killed. “They tried to do this twice starting from May 5. Everything that they say about suicide is not true. The person could not get a traumatic brain injury, breaking his forehead and a nape,” the widow said. “Borya could not commit suicide,” she added. “We have three young children whom he loved very much.”

Major General Kolesnikov, together with his former chief Denis Sugrobov and other colleagues, went through a high-profile case of abuse of powers. According to investigators, former Ministry of Internal Affairs tried to organize a provocation against an FSB officer. In particular, they planned to pass themselves away for businessmen and offer to take them "under the roof" for ten thousand dollars a month. According to the investigation, it was Kolesnikov who authorized all measures to provocate a bribe.

Later, the Investigative Committee reported that Kolesnikov was already trying to take his own life twice. In particular, in early May, he was hospitalized from an investigative insulator with a traumatic brain injury, and there was no reliable information about how he received this damage. The general’s lawyer stated that due to the injury, he could not remember what happened.
