Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Grigory Ivliev said that the situation around the Arkhangelskoye museum was stabilized, it was protected by the new protection rules.

According to the deputy minister, the museum-estate “is defended by today not only by the opinion of the public and instructions of the authorities that were given, but also by the new rules for the protection of this estate, which were adopted and fundamentally changed the situation around the“ Arkhangelsk ”.”

“The territory of the monument received a firm legal regime, all the necessary requirements for its protection are recorded,” Ivliev noted. - With these requirements, all subjects that are involved in the activity around the estate are familiarized with these requirements. This is the museum itself, and authorities, and other business entities that have received the right to use land in this territory. ”

In 2011, the Ministry of Defense announced the sale of a plot of land, whose 12 hectares are included in the security zone, and 0.8 hectares are located on the estate. Arkhangelskoye appealed to the court with a request to cancel the order of the Ministry of Defense on the appointment of bidding. Nevertheless, the auction was carried out, the Gradostroy company became the winner of the auction.

The Ministry of Culture plans to allocate additional funds for the protection of the forest lands. “We see that the museum does not have enough funds for their maintenance, and we will help that all the necessary work in this territory is carried out in a timely manner,” Ivliev said.
