The commander of the “People’s Militia of the Donbass” Igor Strelkov warned Vladimir Putin against “drain of Novorossia”, which, in his opinion, will bring the Russian president to the “path” of the former president of Yugoslavia Slobodan Milosevich. The corresponding application was published in the community of Strelkov VKontakte.
“I seriously believe (and I have the grounds for that) that we are not dealing with a frank“ drain ”of Novorossia by the President of the Russian Federation, but with systemic sabotage at the level of oligarchy and higher bureaucracy. Because for Putin, the defeat of the southeast is objectively deadly dangerous both for the leader of Russia, and just as for a person-he means the irrevocable beginning of Milosevich’s Way, ”Strelkov wrote.
According to Strelkov, Slobodan Miloshevich “surrendered in similar circumstances” Bosnia and Krai, and then he was “finishing” in Kosovo and “logical and indeed bewildered” in the Hague.
Strelkov’s words are an explanation for his statements made the day before. “Once again I want to emphasize: I did not exaggerate at all and did not downplay the seriousness of the situation. He carefully weighed everything: every word, spoken and written, ”Strelkov specified.
On June 16, Strelkov’s statement was posted in the same community, which was positioned as “important”.
“I am calling for the urgent provision of large -scale military assistance. She does not act. A week or two (or even earlier), a military defeat of a significant part of the armed detachments of the DPR and LPR may follow. Because the ratio in heavy weapons is simply unbearable ... ” - it was said, in particular, in the text.
Strelkov also pointed out “frank sabotage in the approach of Russian senior officials to the issue of supporting New Russia”, adding that “Putin in fact disavowed the readiness to defend the Russian civilian population of Donbass.”
The President of Serbia, and then the Union Republic of Yugoslavia, Slobodan Miloshevich was accused of NATO and the UN of war crimes, violations of the Geneva Convention and Genocide. The role of Milosevich is doubled by historians. The Western side considers him a war criminal and one of the main perpetrators of the armed conflicts of the 90s of the XX century in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. Another point of view, which, in particular, expressed Russian diplomats, is that ethnic conflicts in Yugoslavia were deliberately provoked by the United States for the collapse of the country.
Russian citizen Igor Girkin (Strelkov) headed the armed movement of separatists in the Donetsk region in April 2014. He has an extensive combat experience of participating in armed conflicts, including Bosnia, Transnistria and Chechnya. In addition, Strelkov is fond of historical reconstruction. According to some reports , the shooters and his close friend Alexander Borodai (Prime Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic) are directly related to the Marshall Capital Foundation, owned by the Russian businessman Konstantin Malofeev.
