The Documentary Cinema Center has opened a free media text

The Documentary Cinema Center ( CDC ) presented the public media of documentary cinema - the first digital collection of archival documentary cinema in Russia. The entrance to the media text is free.

The media is a collection of the most significant Soviet documentary paintings, supplemented by samples of modern domestic documentaries, as well as packages of educational films of international cultural representative offices in Moscow. "Modern computer equipment, headphones and a wide selection of film materials: 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, up to the present day," the newspaper "New Izvestia" writes.

The collection was prepared with the participation of the Expert Council, which is headed by the President of Kinotavra Alexander Rodnyansky.

It is reported that the media was created for more than a year. During this time, dozens of paintings by the Central Studio of Documentary Films and the Sverdlovsk film studio were digitized.

The collection will also include materials from the archives of the State Film Fund, the St. Petersburg Studio of Documentary Films (former LSDF), the film Funder Lenfilma and Mosfilma, including the films of Roman Carmen, Mikhail Romm, Elma Klimov, Efima Teacher, Pavel Kogan, Alexander Sokurov, Semyon Aranovich, and program work of the classics -program works Dzigi Vertov, Alexander Medvedkin, Mikhail Kalatozov, Friedrich Ermler, military chronicle, paintings by Artavazz Paleshayan, Hertz Frank, Alexander Dovzhenko and Yuris Redeux.
