The Council of People's Commissars prematurely terminated the powers of Senator Mingazov, who owed more than 4 billion rubles to banks

The Federation Council ahead of schedule terminated the powers of the senator from the Republic of Tatarstan Vagiz Mingazov. The corresponding resolution was adopted at a meeting of the chamber, reports ITAR-TASS. According to Vadim Tulipanov, Chairman of the Rules and Organization of Parliamentary Activities, the basis for making such a decision was the senator’s statement about the early termination of powers in connection with the state of health.

The powers of the senator will be terminated from June 23, 2014. Earlier, Mingazov took the second place in the list of deputies of the State Duma and members of the Federation Council in terms of debts that were discovered at the Bank for Enforcement Proceedings of the Federal Bailiff Service, RBC notes. As it became known, the total debt of Mingazov is more than 4.3 billion rubles.

He later explained his debts by the fact that he repeatedly acted as a guarantor on loans. "I took loans from the Bank for the development of the Vasyn -Tatarstan enterprise, which was the founder of which was. But after the transfer to the Federation Council, I completely abandoned the business, as the law was prescribed for civil servants, and sold the shares," said Mingazov. He also explained that all loans are provided with a pledge, so he has no reason for concern.

Vagiz Mingazov was elected a member of the Federation Council - a representative from the Republican Parliament on November 25, 2011 at a meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. Previously, he was the head of the company "Basin Tatarstan", and was also a deputy of the Parliament of Tatarstan from United Russia. Now his place in the field is vacant, notes Tatar-inform .

Another senator from Tatarstan in the upper house of the Russian parliament is Sergey Batin. He is a representative from the executive body of state power of the Republic of Tatarstan. Earlier, Batin confidently stated that Vagiz Mingazov did not miss a single meeting of the upper house of parliament.

"The meetings of the Federation Council are absolutely open, including online. But I can say that he did not miss a single meeting, despite his state of health," Batin told Business Online correspondent.

At the same time, he refused to discuss the health of Mingazov, referring to the fact that the topic is confidential and purely personal. “I think that we should not discuss the topic of health, this is confidential information ... This is a purely personal, individual issue, because a person can come to a meeting of the Federation Council despite the fact that he does not feel very well,” Batin added.
